Your expertise will contribute to the precision and efficiency of our fabrication processes, ensuring that each project meets strict quality standards. Based on our government contract, US Citizenship is required. Duties and Responsibilities Set up, calibrate, and operate laser engraving machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to accurately produce engraved items. Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and document all machine activities. Handle materials with care, utilizing forklifts or other materials handling tools as needed to move raw materials and finished products safely within the manufacturing facility. Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify engraving accuracy and consistency. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools, personal protective equipment, and adherence to factory safety standards. Qualifications and Experience Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in Fanuc controls, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses is highly desirable. Skilled in blueprint reading and CAD design software or similar programs. Proven experience operating laser engraving machines or similar CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of tooling setup, fabrication processes, machining techniques, and materials handling procedures. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate them into precisely engraved products. Experience with programmable logic controllers, welding, assembly line operations, and quality control practices is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential for maintaining high standards of precision.
